He as a pharmacy and medical product regulator background with special focus on quality assurance. 

With more than 30 years of experience,15 of them with WHO, his special interest is to promote the use of appropriate technologies to enhance regulators' oversight of their markets through improved competency, transparency and efficiencies achieved through work/information sharing and good reliance practices.
